FreeWheelin' for Kids in Wyandotte Bike Ride!

On-site registration: $35.00
With a bike donation: $25.00
Flat?!  FLAT?!  You think Kansas is flat?  Not Wyandotte County!  Come to Wyandotte County Lake on September 15th, 2012 and challenge yourself on the rolling river bluffs and prairie hills of western Wyandotte County and Leavenworth County.   There are three rides: a 11-mile option, a 32-mile option and a 60-miler.  Come show us what you can do and support FreeWheels for Kids!
The Hillraiser: 11 miles, leave 10:00 a.m. Explore the area west of the park.  You'll climb some awesome hills right off the gun, roll through some very pretty shaded country lanes and come back down a long hill into the park before one last, STEEP hill to the finish party!  (There will even be a King of the Mountain competition!)
The Stray Dog Dodge: 32 miles, leave 9:00 a.m.  We can't make any promises, but there shouldn't actually be any stray dogs.  There will be some beautiful country roads, some nice rolling prairie hills and wonderful views.     Of course, we also have to make sure we practice getting away from those dogs, so be ready for some intermediate sprints!
The Hot Sauce Hill Boss Wyandotte King of the Mountain: 60 miles, leave 7:30 a.m.  Bring your comfy shoes and a tube or two, this ride ain't messin' around!  You'll hit some of the same beautiful hills and country roads as the other rides, but add on some long miles out in rolling Kansas farmland, rolling through long and wide valleys and following winding roads back and forth.  Save some energy for the KOMs and sprints, though!
All proceeds from this event will benefit FreeWheels for Kids, a local charity that empowers local kids to repair bikes and ride safely on the road.  Check it out here: http://www.freewheelskc.org/
This event will be FUN, so if you've been on the fence about supporting FreeWheels or coming to a FreeWheels events, the time is NOW! (Well, September 15th).
